Feeding the hungry

Feeding the hungry is an initiative of global relief services that exists to end childhood hunger. We believe that everyone can work together to create a world where no child goes to bed hungry.

When friends like you partner with us, we can meet the urgent physical needs of children by providing food, taking action in communities worldwide and creating long-term solutions for clean water, medical care and education. To end childhood hunger, we must work together to break the cycle of poverty, by providing food and long-term solutions like clean water and education.

Scope of work

Our focus is on the underprivileged, homeless and the unemployed in slums. We recognize the hungry and the less-privileged people within our communities. We target these beneficiaries and groups and provide them with their dietary needs to improve upon their human development.

Inquest

We meet these individuals, investigate and do a background check on them and find out the root cause of their hunger, we determine if it is as a result of a lack of a stable income or any other problem.

Feed

We partner with restaurants and five star hotels who donate food to feed the hungry. Feeding the Hungry act as intermediaries between our target group and these hotels to provide them with quality, balanced and nutritious meals, we also provide our beneficiaries with agricultural supplies and raw food for their growth and development.

Transformation

It is the mandate of Feeding the Hungry to improve upon the quality and standard of the livelihoods of our beneficiaries to make them self-sufficient, we believe you cannot always provide food that is why we have the transformation program to develop our beneficiaries

We equip our beneficiaries with start-up capital after the transformation programs, to equip them

WORKS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Over the years we have worked with several personalities, volunteer’s ad partners to reach the goal of feeding the poor and less privileged. We have a bus which we periodically fill it with food and move to the streets and feed the street children. We also often go to hospitals and orphanage homes within Accra to feed the less privileged ones We believe that when communities are trained and equipped to care for their most vulnerable, the entire community is lifted and poverty can be overcome. We serve communities like Weija, Madina and so on through life-changing resources such as clean water, medical aid, food, equal educational opportunities to girls and boys, vocational training and empowerment in the midst of unimaginable hardships.
